Like health and education, electricity is an essential service that is critical to almost every part of our lives, yet 35% of Australians are currently locked out of the bill-saving and environmental benefits of rooftop solar.
As electricity prices and carbon pollution continue to rise, it is not good enough that low-income households, renters, people living in an apartment, or homes without a suitable roof are unable to access solutions like rooftop solar.

Research by Community Power Agency and the Institute for Sustainable Futures found that solutions exist to ensure all Australians can access the benefits of rooftop solar. One of the best solutions is Solar Gardens.
But Solar Gardens will only become a reality with government support via a Solar for All Policy Package.
Email your state Energy Minister calling on them to suport the Solar for All Policy Package by:
1. Funding real-world Solar Gardens pilot
2. Establish a means tested Solar for All rebate
Right now 35% of Australians are locked out of the clean energy revolution - it’s simply unacceptable.
Australia has over 2 millions solar homes enjoying the sunny benefits of cheaper bills and reducing our collective carbon footprint - but unfortunately not everyone has the opportunity to access rooftop solar.
But there are solutions! Last year, research Community Power Agency did with the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures found that Solar Gardens are a solution that unlocks solar for everyone currently missing out.
Solar Gardens are one part of the Solar for All Package but they need government support to take off.
Email your Energy Minister to establish a Solar for All Package.
